Accepting paints, automobile batteries, household cleaners, household chemicals, pesticides, flammables, other hazardous household products, white goods (appliances, refrigerators, stoves, hot water heaters), and electronic wastes.
The City of Lufkin in conjunction with Angelina Beautiful
Clean now is providing recycling of glass to Lufkin
residents. A drop off bin is located at the City's Recycling
Center in South Park for citizens to leave clean glass jars
This is a great way
to continue to keep the city and Angelina County a great
place to live.
Litter Critter Service
citizens have home or neighborhood projects that include a
large construction or destruction type activity you always
have the dilemma of how to properly dispose of building and
waste materials. The city provides Lufkin residents its
Litter Critter service. For just $50.00 The City of Lufkin
rents out “The Litter Critter” for large neighborhood
cleanups and for proper solid waste disposal. The rental
period can be for a weekend project from Friday morning
until Monday morning, or for the week from Monday morning
until Friday morning. You just fill it up and the city
delivers and picks it up. For more details about the service

Keeping Lufkin Clean
Solid Waste Services Department is responsible for the
collection of residential and commercial garbage, rubbish
and recyclable material within the City of Lufkin.
Solid Waste Services is part of the city’s Administrative
Services Department. The department’s offices are located at
500 Southpark Drive.
Household trash is collected on Monday and Tuesday, while
residential recycling is collected on Thursday and Friday,
depending on address.

The City of Lufkin has a campaign to deter people and
businesses from littering.
Purple signs are
placed around Lufkin, warning people they can receive fines
up to $500 if they are caught littering.
"With all of the positive things happening in Lufkin, we
don't want to get bogged down with unsightly trash blowing
along our roadways and clogging up our drainage ditches,.
City Manager Keith Wright, who had the idea for the
campaign which began in 2009, said that we have a real litter problem in the
community, and says he sees these signs, along with
substantial fines, as a way to keep the city of Lufkin
